Arts Ed at The Granada Presents
The Yellow Bus Series
Each year we showcase a diverse array of events from our resident companies and enTRANCE! THE SERIES productions and arrange for low- or no-cost performances for local students to experience world-class performing arts. This season's outstanding eight-show lineup launches in October with a dynamic Shakesperean duo featuring dance and theatrical productions of Romeo and Juliet, as well as Mummenschanz in November, Maria Del Rey in January, Diavolo in February, and Santa Barbara Symphony's Concerts for Young People in March.
Through performances such as these, The Yellow Bus Series introduces students to the diverse world of performing arts, creating not just wonderful childhood memories, but future theater goers. The unique program also provides teachers with hands-on learning opportunities that undeniably make a significant contribution to the "whole" child, and many of the events offer creative study guides to prepare for and extend the student's experience. These guides cover many of the state's curriculum standards for the performing arts.
For more information about The Yellow Bus Series at The Granada or to sign up your school for one of these events, please email Laura Inks or call 805.899.3000 x. 108. Remember, please designate one person from your school to coordinate your reservations. |
