Excellent naming opportunities are still available. Major-level donors receive their own recognition plaques, as well as permanent acknowledgement on the lower lobby donor wall.
All donors contributing $5,000 or more to the capital campaign will also receive permanent recognition on a Granada donor wall.

As a Founding Benefactor you'll be accorded, in perpetuity, a 22 x 32 bronze bas-relief portrait including a 100-word biography to pay homage to your chosen honoree. The plaque will be displayed in the most prominent location in the theatre, the newly restored main lobby. The (Your Name Here!) Education Endowment Fund
Arts Ed at The Granada provides the highest quality of experiential learning opportunities in the performing arts within a humanities context. The five-component program has been underway since 2007 and includes: “Actors’ Rep,” “The Teen Media Project,” the Granada Music and Arts Conservatory, the “Yellow Bus Series,” and the “Visiting Arts Studio.” Your contribution will ensure a vital education program touching tens of thousands of students annually for decades to come.

The “1924” Marquee
Granada craftsmen have fabricated a beautiful replica of the original Granada marquee. Twice the width of the familiar 1941 marquee, this imposing edifice provides a memorable start to every theatregoer’s experience. This donor will receive recognition right on State Street.

Lower Lobby
The interior lobby has been enlarged and redesigned to form a striking Spanish entryway. Original and reproduced Spanish fixtures create an atmosphere of drama, romance and fantasy. Everyone will view the prominent naming plaque.

New Proscenium
The stage opening has been widened to 50’ in order to accommodate symphony orchestra performances. The beautiful proscenium framing was reshaped for acoustical purposes and redesigned to conform to period- and Granada-themed motifs.

Restoration of Original Décor
Studies of plaster and paint samples revealed an extraordinary, detailed color palette throughout the theatre and public spaces. Fifteen artisans worked for over a year to recreate the splendor of the original scheme - and then some. Recognition plaques will be mounted on both the orchestra and balcony levels.

The substantial left and right staircases are lit with period fixtures and lead up to the upper lobby, McCune Founders Room $500,000 the Girsh and Hochman Loge Seating and the Fe Bland Balcony. Loge and balcony patrons have remarked on the new,

Acoustical Design and Engineering
McKay, Conant, Hoover has fashioned a magnificent acoustical environment including the multi-level Spanish reflecting tiles, the “eyebrow” over the orchestra, the variable acoustic blankets that reduce reverberation for amplified events, and so much more.

Balcony Staircases with Pomegranate Columns (2 total, 1 available)

Interior designer Roger Phillips has opened up the walls of the upper lobby to reveal the beautiful stairways leading to the upper balcony. Pomegranate tree columns, arches, wrought iron railings and clerestory windows combine to fashion elegant stairways to the stars.

Performers’ Rehearsal and Warm-up Studio
The space under the stage floor has become a rehearsal and warm-up room for chorus, ballet, orchestra and all performing artists. This new enclosure offers a sprung floor, mirrors and barres, soundproof walls and ceiling. The studio also serves as an education classroom and workshop space.

The three main Rest Rooms are located off of the Hahn Upper Lobby and the McCune Founders Room. Two of them boast a total of 24 stalls for women with additional stalls located on the first floor.

Digital Projector and Cinema Surround System
This state-of-the-art digital projector will deliver stunning images onto the silver screen and sparkling sound to The Granada’s new surround sound system. It will be used by the Santa Barbara Film Festival as well as the Granada Film Series featuring classics and unusual titles throughout the season. Recognition plaques will be placed at both the orchestra and balcony levels.

Follow Spot Chambers
Musical Theatre and pop lovers should be proud to name the rooms where the follow spot wizards “focus” on their favorite stars. The rooms are specially cooled and provide sound dampening to eliminate fan noise. Our “supertrooper” spotlights are the best in the business and the naming plaque will be placed prominently in the main entrance to the balcony.
