ACCESSIBLE SEATING

The Granada Theatre offers wheelchair accessible and companion seating in each price section and on both the Orchestra and Balcony levels. Patrons in wheelchairs also have the option of transferring to designated seats. Please contact the Box Office to reserve wheelchair seating or request assistance.

LISTENING DEVICES

The Granada Theatre has the Hearing Loop system, a wireless technology that transmits speech or music on stage directly to guests’ cochlear implants and hearing aids with T-coils. Patrons will hear sound picked up by the theatre’s PA system rather than from the microphone in an implant or hearing aid, resulting in a clear sound with less background noise. Please inquire with a Volunteer Ambassador when you arrive at the theater.

CHILDREN

Children under the age of three are not admitted unless otherwise stated. All patrons including children, regardless of age, must have a ticket and sit in a seat. Lap seating is never permitted. Also, as a courtesy to other patrons and the performers, please bear in mind that it is not appropriate for small children to attend symphony, ballet and other performances where silence is necessary to fully enjoy the performance. Children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult. If you have questions about the appropriateness of a performance, please don’t hesitate to call us at (805) 899-2222.

LATECOMERS

As a courtesy to other patrons and to the performers, latecomers and those who exit the theatre during the performance will not be admitted into the auditorium until an appropriate interval as determined by the performance management. Some resident companies do not permit any late seating and latecomers may be asked to stay in the lobby, where they may watch a live stream of the event, until the intermission.

PHOTOGRAPHY AND RECORDING

Photographing or recording the performance is strictly prohibited.

CELL PHONES AND OTHER ELECTRONIC DEVICES

As a courtesy to both patrons and performers, the use of cell phones or other electronic devices during performances is strictly prohibited. This includes texting.

SMOKING

Smoking is prohibited inside the theatre, including lobbies and restrooms. To smoke outside, we request that you leave the area under the marquee.

GENERAL BEHAVIOR DURING PERFORMANCES

For the safety and comfort of all of our patrons, standing or dancing during performances is generally prohibited, and is strictly prohibited in the front row of the balcony or boxes.

LOST AND FOUND

To inquire about personal belongings that may have been left in the building, please contact the box office at (805) 899-2222.

TICKET DONATIONS FOR “GRANADA PRESENTS” EVENTS

If you are unable to attend a Granada Presents event, your tickets may be donated back to The Granada Theatre as a tax-deductible contribution. Tickets must be returned in person or by phone to the box office at least two hours in advance of the performance, enabling The Granada Theatre Box Office to make your seats available for resale.

PARKING

Paid parking is available in a variety of downtown city operated parking lots. The lot closest to The Granada Theatre is located behind the theatre at 1221 Anacapa Street, between Victoria Street and Anapamu Street, and there are parking entrances on both Anacapa and Anapamu. A special event parking fee of $5 (cash only) may be charged in this lot.

During non-event hours, the first 75 minutes of parking is free (courtesy of Downtown businesses) and each additional hour or part is $3. To get to the theater entrance or the box office, please exit the garage at the northwest corner of the building, and proceed toward State Street through the paseo and turn left.
